For the most secure installation,
1) Install the Billet Griftertm base to the license plate mount by threading the standard socket head cap screws into the base from the back side. The two longest screws should be installed at the lock end. Be sure to use the stainless steel washers under the screw heads.
2) Install jam nuts on the two screws at the lock end of the base.

Note: The standard socket head cap screws can also be threaded into the base from the inside to provide mounting studs out the back.

3) Install the license plate using the four button head cap screws. The two longest screws should be installed at the lock end of the lid.
4) Install jam nuts on the two screws at the lock end of the base.
5) Attach the adhesive pouch to the inside of the lid. This provides a secured location for paperwork like registration and insurance documents.
6) With the key inserted in the lock and the cam point up, close the lid firmly, rotate the key to the locked position and remove the key.

IMPORTANT: THE LID MUST BE HELD FIRMLY SHUT TO MAKE A SEAL AND ALLOW THE LOCK TO FULLY ENGAGE. CHECK TO BE SURE THAT THE LID IS SECURE AFTER REMOVING THE KEY.

If vibration is a concern, a non-permanent thread locking compound should be used on the fasteners.

For best sealing, apply a light coat of oil to the o-ring.
